High Precision Nanocrystalline Core Cutting Machine

Nanocrystalline Core Cutting Machine is a special high-precision, low-stress, cold-cutting equipment designed exclusively for nanocrystalline cores and amorphous cores. It mainly solves the processing difficulties of nanocrystalline and amorphous materials, such as high hardness, high brittleness, easy edge chipping, and sensitivity to heat and stress. It is widely used in the manufacturing of precision magnetic cores including current transformer, common-mode inductor, high-frequency transformers, sensors, etc. The cutting surface of the cores is flat and smooth, don’t need to grind it. Besides, our special cutting fluid prevents the iron core from rusting.

1) Processing Objects & Characteristics

Processing Material: Nanocrystalline alloy cores (Fe-Si-B-Nb-Cu) and Amorphous alloy cores(Fe-Si-B).

Processing Shape: Toroidal/ Oval/ Rectangular wound cores (annealed and shaped after winding, then cut for openings, air gaps or segmentation)

Processing Challenges: High hardness, high brittleness, edge chipping, flaking and cracking. It is liable to crystallization and magnetic performance will be lower when above 200℃ (thermal cutting is strictly prohibited).

2) The Structure of Nanocrystalline Core Cutting Machine

Machine Frame: Heavy cast iron/steel plate welded, gantry structure, high rigidity and low vibration. Total weight 800–2000 kg to ensure cutting stability.

Cutting Spindle System: High-precision variable frequency/servo spindle (power 1.5–5.5 kW), runout ≤ 0.002 mm. Special ultra-thin resin cutting blades / diamond blades (thickness 0.5–1.2 mm). Servo feed (X/Z axes), adjustable feed rate 0.1–5 mm/s

Cooling System: High-flow cutting fluid (water-based/special oil) + refrigerated constant temperature.Spraying + internal cooling for heat reduction, stress relief, chip removal.

Control System: PLC + touch screen / HMI, with adjustable cutting depth, rotating speed, feed rate. Automatic indexing, automatic cutting, counting and fault alarm.
